Indiana Gov. Mike Braun took to social media on Thursday morning to celebrate Indiana’s statehood, marking 209 years since it became a state. On Dec. 11, 1816, Indiana was admitted as the 19th state to join the United States.
Braun has previously said he'd work with Trump to defeat senators who voted against the bill, though its unclear how much force those efforts will carry.
